BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University women's swimmer Janine DiSalvatore (Thornton/West Chester East) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Swimmer of the Week after leading the Huskies to two wins last week.
DiSalvatore, a junior, won four races last week to pace Bloomsburg to victory. She won the 200 free and 200 fly against Kutztown with times of 1:59.25 and 2:15.13, respectively. The Huskies beat the Golden Bears, 116-84. DiSalvatore also won the 200 free against Indiana (PA) in a time of 1:58.39, as well as winning the 500 free against the Indians in a time of 5:21.35. Bloomsburg picked up the win over Indiana (PA), 110-95.
As a freshman in 1998-99, DiSalvatore was named an NCAA All-American three times as part of three different relay teams.
The Huskies, 8-3, host West Chester Saturday, Feb. 3, for a meet at 1 p.m.
