Bloomsburg Falls to Indiana (PA) In Men's and Women's Swimming
INDIANA The IUP Indians swept a men's and women's swim meet on Saturday with Bloomsburg University. IUP won the men's meet 120-85, and the women's event, 118-87.
The Bloomsburg men were led by Tom DiSalvatore, who was first in the 100-butterfly in 54.71 and second in the 200 IM in 2:03.62. DiSalvatore was also part of the winning 200-medley relay team with Brandon Hilt, Jason Davis and Steve Fisher that finished in 1:38.53.
For the Bloomsburg women, Ashley Jones was first in the 200 free in 1:58.78 and second in the 100 free in 53.94. Also, Jodi Kaiser was first in the 1,000-free in 11:02.01 and second in the 500 free in 5:29.21. Becky Witwer was first in the 200-breast stroke in 2:31.85 and was second in the 200 IM in 2:17.37, while Erin Carey was first in the 200 IM in 2:15.92.
The Huskies will be back in action on Wednesday hosting Kutztown starting at 6 p.m. at the Nelson Field House pool.
