Day Three of PSAC Swimming Championships
Meet Results
INDIANA (PA)The 2004 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) swimming championships continued Friday at Indiana (PA) University. After three days, the Bloomsburg University women's team is in sixth place with 195 points, while the Bloomsburg men are also sixth with 100 points.
In Friday's finals, Eric Carey was sixth in the 400 IM in 4:48.99, while in the women's 200 free Lindsey Wallace was 12th in 2:01.79. In the men's 200 free, Andrew Wise was 11th in 1:50.18.
In the men's 100 butterfly, Tom DiSalvatore was ninth in 54.17, while in the women's 100 backstroke, Kari Pokrzwya was 8th in 1:01.72, Ashley Koch 10th in 1:02.55 and Laura Jeffers 11th in 1:03.49. In the men's 100 backstroke, Brandon Hilt was ninth in 54.99.
In relay action, the Bloomsburg men were fourth in the 200-medley in 1:38.10 with Brandon Hilt, Jason Davis, Tom DiSalvatore and Travis Backenstoe swimming for the Huskies. In the women's 200-medley, the Huskies were 10th in 1:54.60.
In the women's 800 free relay, the team of Rebecca Kandingo, Wallace, Courtney Dean and Ashley Yelinek were fourth in 8:05.15, while in the men's 800 free, the Huskies were sixth in 7:29.41.
In the Friday's preliminary action for the women, the top finisher for Bloomsburg was Erin Carey in the women's 400-yard IM in sixth place with a time of 4:47.94. In the women's 200 yard freestyle Lindsey Wallace was 12th place in 2:02.13, while in the women's 100 yard backstroke Kari Pokrzwya was ninth with a time of 1:01.61, 10th place Stacy Ogden at 1:02.55 and 12th place Laura Jeffers at 1:03.18.
On the men's side, the top finishers for Bloomsburg were Tom DiSalvatore in the men's 100 yard Butterfly placing eighth with a time of 54.48 and Brandon Hilt in the men's 100 yard backstroke also placing eighth with a time of 54.55.
