BLOOMSBURG GETS 136-122 WIN IN WOMEN'S SWIMMING

Ewing, NJThe Bloomsburg University women's swim team handed the College of New Jsersey a 136-122 loss as the Huskies won seven of 14 events. Bloomsburg improves to 3-0 for the year with the win.
Bloomsburg sophomore Kari Pokrzywa (Fairless Hills, PA/Pennsbury) had two first-place finishes as she captured the 100-back (1:02.52) and the 200 back in 2:12.88. Pokrzywa also swam on the winning 400-medley relay (4:13.13).
BU's sophomore Erin Carey (West Chester, PA/Henderson) won the 100-breast in 1:11.00 and the 200 breast in 2:32.84, while also swimming on the winning 400-medley relay.
Freshman Ashley Yelinek (Youngwood, PA/Southmoreland) took first for the Huskies in both the 200-free (2:00.09) and the 500-free (5:22.79).
Bloomsburg will be back in action Dec. 5-7 at the Southern Connecticut Invitational.
