Bloomsburg University Loses in Women's Swimming

EAST STROUDSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's swim team lost to East Stroudsburg on Saturday, 141-121, in action Saturday afternoon.

The Huskies had two, two-time winners during the meet. Ashley Yelinek (Youngwood/Southmoreland) took first in the 1000 free in 10:57.99 and also the 500 free in 5:26.56. Dianna Smith (West Grove/Avon Grove) was a two-time winner taking first in the 100 free in 54.84 seconds and the 200 free in 1:58.75.

Sara Lengler (Harrisburg/C.D. East) was second in two events for Bloomsburg, the 200 IM in 2:20.50 and the 200 breast in 2:37.00. Kari Pokrzywa (Fairless Hills/Pennsbury) was also second in two races, the 100 back in 1:03.99 and the 200 back in 2:13.51.

The Huskies return to action on Wednesday hosting Kutztown in a men's and women's meet at 6 p.m.
