Swimmers Compete at NCAA Championships
BUFFALO, NY-- On day one of the NCAA Division II women's swimming championships, Bloomsburg University failed to advance out of the preliminary rounds. Dianna Smith, though, did set a school record in the 50-free.
In the 200-medley relay, the team of Dianna Smith (West Grove/Avon Grove), Allie Reed (Selinsgrove/Selinsgrove), Courtney Dean (Lancaster/Hempfield), and Jackie Gribbin (Richboro/Council Rock North) were 20th in a time of 1:54.35.
Individually in the 50-free Smith set a new school record with a time of 24.41, but finished 19th in the prelims. Smith broke her own record of 24.44 seconds set earlier this season.
Action continues at the NCAA Division II championships on Thursday for Bloomsburg with the Huskies competing in the 200-free relay and the individual 200-free event.
