Smith Finishes Ninth in 200-Free at NCAA Championships

BUFFALO, NY- Dianna Smith (West Grove/ Avon Grove) took ninth place in the 200-freestyle at the NCAA Division II Swimming Championships in Buffalo, NY on Thursday. Smith finished in a time of 1:53.12 and earned honorable-mention All-American status.

In the women's 200-free relay, Smith, Allie Reed (Selinsgrove/Selinsgrove), Courtney Dean (Lancaster/Hempfield), and Jackie Gribbin (Richboro/Council Rock North) placed ninth in a time 1:37.81 breaking their own school record that they set earlier this season.

Action will continue for Bloomsburg on Friday at the NCAA Division II Championships when they compete in the 800-free.
