BU Swim Teams Lose to West Chester

WEST CHESTER--The Bloomsburg University men's and women's swim teams lost to West Chester University on Saturday. The women lost 133-72, while the men lost 106-85.

In the women's meet, Dianna Smith (West Grove/Avon Grove) finished in the 50-free in a time of 24.47 seconds and the 100-free in 54.55. In the 200-free event, Allie Reed (Selinsgrove/Selinsgrove) took first in 1:58.63, while in the 500-free she was third in 5:22.00.

In the 200-IM, Kellie Ayres (Gilbertsville/Boyertown) was third in 2:21.89, while in the 200-fly, Michelle Wesh (Pittsgrove, NJ/Our Lady of Mercy) was third in 2:23.47 seconds. In the 200-back Stacey Henry (Besemer/Kennedy Christian) finished third in 2:22.11.

On the men's side, John King (Ridley Park/Ridley) was third in the 1000-free in 10:22.42, while in the 200-fly Steve Withers (Chalfont/Central Bucks West) finished third in 2:07.79, while in the 50-free Tyler DeLorenzo (State College/State College) was third in 22.95.

Bloomsburg will swim at the PSAC championship on Feb. 21-24.
