BLOOMSBURG— Erin Bartsch advanced to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Eastern Regional Final. Bartsch won her quarterfinal match against Abbie Sweitzer of Millersville, 6-3, 6-2. In her second match of the day, Bartsch faced Yvonne Niederbracht of Indiana (PA). She won that match 6-1, 6-4. Bartsch, the number two seed of the tournament, will face Dowling College's Anna Burakova, the number one seed, in the final tomorrow. The winner will advance to the 2001 ITA National Small College Tennis Championships, hosted by Collin County Community College in McKinney, Texas.
In the “B” Draw, Julianne Bramante also advanced to the finals. She defeated Hanelle Tekaaho of Adelphi, 6-1, 6-3. In the quarterfinals she played Beth Debiase of Shippensburg, winning 7-5, 6-2. She won her semi-final match against Adelphi's Tashi Sharma, 7-5, 6-3. Tomorrow she will face Shippensburg's Kara Fisher.
Molly Clay and Larissa Bench were also in action in the “B” Draw. Clay was defeated by Millersville's Kristi Lynn Miller, 6-1, 6-1. Bench fell to Sharma, 6-3, 6-1.
