Indiana (PA) Advance to Championship of NCAA Division II East Regional Women's Tennis Championships with Win Over Bryant

BLOOMSBURG—Indiana (PA) University advanced to the finals of the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis East Regional with a 5-2 win over Bryant College.

Indiana (PA) jumped out to a 2-1 lead after the completion of doubles play. The Indians got a 8-1 win at number one doubles from Yvonne Niederbracht and Jackie Kulp and a 8-4 win at number three from Carla Goodman and Fatima Hassan. In number two doubles, Bryant's duo of Sacha Solomon and Annette Jervasi were 8-4 winners over Jessica Brockway and Razia Hassan.

In singles, Jackie Kulp wrapped the match up with a 6-2, 6-4 win at number two over Alex Spence. Jessica Brockway was also a 6-3, 6-1 winner at number three while at number five, Razia Hassan was a 6-3, 6-1 winner. Bryant's Allana Santanello was the Bulldog's lone singles winner with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at number four.

With the win, Indiana (PA) advances to face Bloomsburg in the championship round. The Huskies were 5-0 winners over Queens College.
