Bloomsburg Falls to Niagara in Women's Tennis

HAMILTON, NY—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team fell to Niagara University, 5-2 on Saturday.

Leading the way for the Huskies was Lauren Colfer, winning in singles and doubles. At the third doubles position, Colfer teamed up with Brande Hansteen to get an 8-3 win for Bloomsburg.

Freshmen Emily Murphy also picked up a singles win for the Huskies at the fifth position, defeating her opponent in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.

At the number one and two singles positions, Iida Hokkanen and Julianne Bramante turned in strong performances, falling 6-2, 6-4 and 6-1, 6-4, respectively.

Bloomsburg will travel to the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center in Philadelphia on Friday, Feb. 27 to take on Drexel.
