Bloomsburg Women's Tennis Players at PSAC Championships

SHIPPENSBURG-- The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team took part in the 2007 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Individual tennis championships being held at Shippensburg University.

The Huskies' Torie Cunningham (Greentown, NY/Harbor Fields) opened the tournament with a win over Andrea Konas of Millersville, 7-5, 6-4; then beat Corin Rombach of Clarion, 6-1, 6-1 in a second round matchup. In the quarterfinals, Cunningham then lost to Inga Chilingaryan of Cal, 6-2, 6-1.

Also, Katie Hasyn (Lansdale/North Penn) opened with a win over Saquatia Knight of Cheyney, 6-0, 6-0; then lost to Rohini Das of Kutztown. In addition, Tracey Nissenbaum (Allentown/William Allen) started the tournament with a win over Jackie Kramer of Shippensburg, 6-2, 6-3 before losing to Samantha Blackburn of Slippery Rock, 6-1, 6-2.
