MEMPHIS, TN--In the opening round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Small College Championships, the representatives from Bloomsburg University did not fare so well.

The Huskies' Danielle Faretta dropped her opening round match to Zdena Rebekova of Northeastern State, 7-5, 6-2. She will now face Jennifer Garvey of Ferris State in the loser's bracket semifnals Friday at 8:30 a.m. Garvey was a 6-4, 6-0 loser to defending champion, Petra Gaspar of BYU-Hawaii.

In men's double action, the team of Tyler Hunsberger and Andrew Naylor lost to Christian Witt and Erik Holubec of Barry University, 6-1, 6-1. In the loser's bracket semifinal match, Naylor and Hunsberger lost to Koko Dawood and Juan Rios of Queens College, 5-7, 6-3, 6-4. The pair will now play for seventh place against the team of Paul Judd and Peter Lantz of Metro State.
