BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team completed the West Virginia University Fall Classic Sunday with a freshman finishing fourth in her flight and a doubles team of sophomore finishing third in theirs.

In singles, freshman Miranda Campbell finished fourth in the sixth flight of singles after dropping a 2-6, 0-6 decision to Katherine Augustsson of West Virginia. Campbell won her first round match, 6-3, 6-1, over Megan Goldsmith of George Washington. She dropped her second-round match 2-6, 1-6, to Agnieszka Tokarczuk of Eastern Michigan.

Other singles results are as follows:

First flight singles -- 1st round, Karen Prangley (University of Maryland--Baltimore County) def. Danielle Faretta (Bloomsburg) 6-4, 6-4. 2nd round, Faretta def. Annie Weber (Army) 7-5, 6-1. 3rd round, Faretta def. Sarine Weingarten (GW) 6-2, 6-0, and finishes fifth.

Second flight singles -- 1st round, Tricia Kempton (WVU) def. Heather Miller (BU) 6-4, 6-3. 2nd round, Miller def. Aino Kalervo (EM) 7-6 (7-2), 6-4. 3rd round, Miller def. Ghada Skaff (GW) 0-6, 6-3, 6-1, and finishes fifth.

Third flight singles -- 1st round, Meghan Cornwall (WVU) def. Erin Bartsch (BU) 6-2, 6-2. 2nd round, Bartsch def. Katrina Stastny (GW) 4-6, 6-2, 6-1. 3rd round, Bartsch def. Cheryl Hamilton (Army) 6-3, 7-6, and finishes fifth.

Fourth flight singles -- 1st round, Regan Campbell (American) def. Katie Kochera (BU) 6-7, 6-2, 6-1. 2nd round, Kochera def. Andrea Pintaric (WVU) 6-0, 3-6, 7-5. 3rd round, Kochera def. Manuela Todorova (EM) 6-3, 6-0, and finishes fifth.

Fifth flight singles -- Susie Coggin (GW) def. Jenn Esposito (BU) 6-1, 6-2. 2nd round, Esposito def. Melissa San Martin (Louisville) 6-2, 2-6, 6-3. 3rd round, Anita Push Pan Athan (UMBC) def. Esposito 6-1, 6-4. Esposito finishes sixth.

Seventh fight singles -- Emma Jeremiejczyk (WVU) def. Larissa Bench (BU) 6-0, 6-0. 2nd round, Bench receives bye. 3rd round, Beckett Hoyt (L) def. Bench 6-0, 6-0. Bench finishes sixth.

In doubles, the Huskies' team of Miller and Kochera finished third in the second flight after an 8-4 win over the team of Kelly Miller and Kelly Ford of Louisville. The Bloomsburg team won its first round match in the second flight over Ghada Skaff and Tracy Wei of George Washington, 9-8 (7-5). They dropped their second-round match to Lourdes Rivsech and Kealy Carter of American, 8-2.

First flight doubles -- 1st round, Campbell and Lauren Martin of American def. Faretta/Bartsch (BU) 8-3. 2nd round, Karen Prangley and Karri Bielewicz (UMBC) def. Faretta/Bartsch 8-6. 3rd round, Faretta/Bartsch def. Annie Weber and Cheryl Hamilton (Army) walkover and finish seventh.

Third flight doubles -- 1st round, Kelly Whitler and Kelly Kiehna (L) def. Esposito/Campbell (BU) 8-2. 2nd round, Melissa Sentelle and Jaclyn Ott (Army) def. Esposito/Campbell 8-3. 3rd round, Esposito/Campbell def. Susie Coggin and Lisa Borromeo (GW) 8-2 and finish seventh.

The Huskies return to action Wednesday, Sept. 15, at home against Binghamton at 3:30 p.m.
