Huskies Take Part in Lock Haven Cross Country Invitational

BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University men's and women's cross county team took part in the Lock Haven University Cross Country Invitational Saturday. The men finished eighth of 13 teams with 206 points, while the women were seventh of 13 with 165 points. Bucknell University won both races, the men's with 21 points and the women with 17.

For the men, Matt Zappile was 27th overall in the 10K race in 33:46, while Curtis Woodard was 39th in 34:10. Chris Turner was third for the Huskies and 55th overall in 34:53.

For the women, Jen McNeal was 12th overall in the 6K race in 22:56, while Kim Gasper was 31st in 23:36 with Rachel Keller third for the Huskies and 35th overall in 23:41.

The Huskies will take part in the Lehigh Paul Short Invitational Saturday, Oct. 7.
