Bloomsburg Cross Country Competes at Gettysburg Invitational

BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University men's and women's cross country teams competed in at the Gettysburg College Cross Country Invitational, Saturday October 20. The men's team placed ninth out of 25 teams with a score of 235 in the 8K run. The women's team placed 12th out of 26 teams with a score of 330 in the 5K run. Alderson-Broaddus University won the men's team competition with 34 points, while Gettysburg College won the women's with a score of 91.

Freshman Justin Dosch (Sunbury/Shikellamy) led the men's team with a 13th place finish in a time of 27:01. Chris Turner (Lawrenceville/Williamson) placed second on the team with a 33rd overall finish and a time of 27:34, while Brandon Palmer (Carlisle/Big Spring) placed 64th with a time of 28:20.

On the women's side, Kim Gasper (Hazleton/Bishop Hafey) led the Huskies with a 27th place finish in a time of 19:09. Stacy Heberling (Prompton/Honesdale) finished second on the team with a 53rd overall finish in a time 19:46 and Jennie Roberts (Bloomsburg/Central Columbia) finished 74th overall with a time of 20:17.
