Kramer Named PSAC Rookie of the Year

BLOOMSBURG--Freshman Danielle Kramer (Coal Twp./Shamokin) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Cross Country Rookie of the Year.

Kramer was one of the top runners in the entire conference. She earned All-PSAC honors after finishing ninth at the PSAC Championships. She went on to capture all-regional honors with a second-place finish at the NCAA Regional Championships. With that finish, she became the first Bloomsburg runner to qualify for the national championships since 1994, and went on to finish 70th overall of 184 competitors. That finish was the fourth-best among all PSAC runners. She finished the 6,000-meter course in a time of 23:36.

Kramer was named the PSAC Female Runner of the Week, Sept. 7th, after winning the Kutztown Invitational and finishing 12th at the Penn State Invitational. Kramer won the Kutztown event in a time of 23:43, then ran 22:43 at PSU and was the top D-II finisher in the event.

Kramer currently is preparing for the indoor and outdoor track seasons. Last spring, she finished 14th in the 10,000 meter finals at the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships.
