BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University women's cross country runner Amber Hackenberg (Middleburg/Middleburg) has been the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the period ending Sept. 18th.

Hackenberg, a sophomore, was the top Division II finisher at the Lock Haven University Invitational, placing third overall on the 6K course.  Her time of 22:10.29 placed her behind only a runner from West Virginia University and one unattached runner, and was a full 22 seconds ahead of the next Division II runner, who finished in eighth place. She finished ahead of 114 other runners in the competition.

She also helped the Huskies to a second place finish in the team competition with 71 points behind on Penn State (31 points) and well-ahead of Division I West Virginia in third place.

Bloomsburg will race at the Penn State Spiked Shoe Invitational on Saturday.
