Bloomsburg Cross Country Races at Penn State National Invitational
FULL MEET RESULTS
BLOOMSBURG— Justin Shepherd (Cranberry Twp./ Seneca Valley) finished 26th in a field of 306 runners and Amber Hackenberg (Middleberg/ Middleberg) finished 54th in a field of 289 women at the Penn State National Invitational on Saturday. Shepherd ran 5.2 miles in a time of 25:58, which is an average of 4:59 per mile, and finished second among the Division II runners. Shepherd defeated many Division I athletes including all of Penn State's runners. Hackenberg ran the 6k course in a time of 22:21 and also finished second among the Division II runners. The women's field included four of Division One's top 25 teams, including #1 ranked Duke University.
Other runners for the men included Daniel Ezzi (Mechanicsburg/ Trinity) who finished 179th with a time 27:31 and Anthony Skiles (West Reading/ Wyomissing) who finished 210th with a time of 27:51.
For the women, Ashley Shuck (Milton/ Milton) finished 112th with a time of 23:04 and Mary Bacher (New Tripoli/ Allentown Central Catholic) finished 127th with a time of 23:18.
Bloomsburg will race at Elizabethtown next Saturday at 11 a.m.
