Bloomsburg Cross Country Teams Perform Well at Lehigh University

BETHLEHM-- The Bloomsburg University men's and women's cross country teams raced Friday at Lehigh University at the 34th running of the Brooks Paul Short Run. With over 90 collegiate teams and over 55 high school teams, it was once again one of the largest cross country meets in the U.S.

The women, racing in the predominantly Division I portion of the event, finished 22nd overall, beating over half of the teams entered.

Leading the way for the Huskies was Amber Hackenberg (Middleburg/Middleburg) who was 73rd in 22:12, while Beth Schwing (Hershey/Lower Dauphin) was 123rd in 22:49. Also, Angela Borealo (Easton/Easton) was 131st in 22:53 with Andrea Kellock (Lansdale/North Penn) 135th in 22:54.

The men raced in the Division II-III portion of the event and finished second overall with 148 points. Jim Stockley (Elverson/Twin Valley) was 10th overall in 26:20, while Misha Litvinov (Drums/Hazleton) was 17th in 26:29. Mike Dalton (Lake Hopatcong, NJ/Pope John XXIII) was 34th in 26:55 with Tim Marcoe (Lansdale/Lansdale Catholic) 42nd in 27:09 and Dan Tallarico (Pittsburgh/North Hills) 45th in 27:14.
