Women's Cross Country Team Ranked
BLOOMSBURG -- The Bloomsburg University women's cross country team is ranked in the 2007 U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) women's Division II preseason cross country poll. The Huskies come in at 22nd in the rankings.
Bloomsburg returns several top runners from a year ago and hope to contend for top spots at both the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and NCAA regional meets. Senior Amber Hackenberg (Middleberg/Middleberg) returns and looks to add on to her already impressive list of accomplishments. A year ago, Hackenberg was an All-PSAC and All-Region selection, as well as an academic All-American. Juniors Ashley Schuck (Milton/Milton) and Beth Schwing (Hershey/Lower Dauphin) also return and both hope to contend for All-Conference and All-Region honors throughout the season.
Bloomsburg will participate in their first meet of the season on Saturday when they take part in the Buffalo State Invitational beginning at 10:00 a.m.
