I am very excited for our women's team," said coach Bernie Empie. "They (the runners) all rose to the challenge today. The gap from our first to fifth was the best it has been all year (1:17). While the conditions were not ideal, our women did not use that as an excuse. They came out and got the job done. Freshman Vicki Davis really had a breakthrough day in 19th place. We are looking forward to next week at NCAA regionals."

Bloomsburg will compete next week at the NCAA Regional Championships at Mansfield University.
