ALLENTOWN—The Bloomsburg University men's and women's cross country teams took part in the Allentown College Invitational Sunday. The men finished 24th of 29 teams, while the women finished ninth of 30 teams.

For the men, freshman Matt Zappile was the top finisher in 95th place in 29:13, while John Hanlon was 116th in 29:46. Other finishers for the Huskies were Terry Grant, 135th in 30:16; Pete Wadel 143rd in 30:50; Bryan Thomasey 185th in 32:53; and Pete Fisk 194th in 34:50.

For the women, Michele Wolyniec finished fourth in 18:54, while Julie Bloom was 33rd in 20:23. Other finishers were Kim Gasper in 41st in a time of 20:34; Rachel Keller in 86th in 21:30; and Jen Stone 134th in 22:56.Also, Carrie Ann Hiltebeitle, 145th in 23:28; and Steph McCauley, 166th in 23:52.

The Huskies are in action Saturday at the Gettysburg Invitational.
