BU’s Quest, an outdoor adventure and recreation program, offers exciting, outdoor and educational courses, mostly at the beginner and intermediate level across Pennsylvania, the United States, Africa, Europe, South and Central America. Our camps for this year are named after types of trees found in Pennsylvania.

These are the most outdoor oriented, active, adventure oriented camps in the region. Your child will come home very tired each day. All weekday camps run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please drop off your child between 8:50 to 9 a.m. (no earlier) and pick up between 3:55 to 4:10 p.m.

Drop off and pick up location will be at the Quest building on upper campus. A map is sent as part of the registration packet. We also provide a parent handbook. These camps are designed for children from ages 8-13.

If you have a child who has their 8th birthday near the camp dates and you think this would be good for them, please contact us to discuss. We try and accommodate everyone we can.

The goal for these camps is to keep your child as active and outdoors as possible. They will participate in a range of activities that Quest offers. Each year we try and add new activities to the mix to keep it interesting for returning campers.

The camp staff is made up of students at BU and recent graduates. Each has been hired based on their experience with youth and outdoor activities. They go through training throughout the spring and summer to prepare them for their time at the camps.

We focus on hiring BU students who plan to work with children in the future. Each year some staff stay while others move on to other pursuits. We intentionally hire some new staff each summer to keep a fresh perspective.
