Microsoft Office software - FREE for Students

Your Office365 student email account also offers access to Office Web Apps and the OneDrive cloud storage solution to automatically save your Office Web App files. Office Web Apps currently include Word Online, Excel Online, PowerPoint Online, and OneNote Online. They can be accessed through the App Drawer in the upper left corner of your student email account webmail. For more information on OneDrive and Office Web Apps, please see the Student Email Information page.

In addition to the basic Office Web Apps, we intend to offer Microsoft Office ProPlus software installations, however, due to technical issues with Microsoft currently unable to support HuskyID Single Sign-On, this option is not currently available. Microsoft is actively working to resolve these issues. Please check back for future updates.

For faculty and staff, the PASSHE Microsoft Campus Licensing Agreement maintains the Work at Home (WAH) licensing rights to install the current version of Microsoft Office for Windows and Macintosh as well as the Windows Operating System for a very nominal cost. Faculty/Staff should contact the University Bookstore for details.

Mathematica software - available free

Mathematica is available free of charge to all PASSHE faculty, staff, and students. Microsoft Software Discounts from JourneyEd

The Office of Technology, in cooperation with the State System of Higher Education and JourneyEd.com, has a system wide licensing agreement with Microsoft that will allow students, faculty, and staff to purchase products at greatly discounted prices.

  • To take advantage of these savings, visit the customized JourneyEd web site and follow directions to make a purchase.
  • This site lists which products are available, complete with purchase price.
  • Savings are on Microsoft products only.
  • While the web site does have other product offerings, the pricing is competitive with other mail-order vendors.
  • Be sure to get the best deal. Certain Microsoft products (i.e. Microsoft Office) are made available through the university at a more deeply discounted (or Free!) rate so they should not be purchased through JourneyEd. Check the top of this page for details on those other offerings.
