Drummers of Japan bring unique beat to BU
Sounds of drums made of animal skin and ancient trees, enhanced with Japanese wind and string instruments, will be featured Saturday in the next Celebrity Artist Series event, 8 p.m., in Haas Center for the Arts. Students design spaghetti bridge
Students in Introduction to Engineering Technology recently competed against each other in designing a bridge from cylindrical spaghetti and epoxy/glue. Bridges were judged on a performance index. Jordan Politza and Tyler Pongrazzi were the winning team. More ...

Free H1N1 flu shots for students are available at the Student Health Center, by appointment only, as long as the vaccine supplies last. To receive a free H1N1 flu shot, call the health center at 389-4451 to schedule an appointment.

Climbing festival for students this weekend
BU Quest, in conjunction with the student recreation climbing competition, will be holding a climbing festival Saturday at the Student Recreation Center from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The day will be filled with climbing films, yoga demonstrations, music and climbing clinics. Moving off campus announcement
Residence Life will be able to release students from their on-campus housing agreement to move off campus or commute for the Spring 2010 semester, which will would include seniors, juniors, sophomores and summer fall freshman. However, new Fall 2009 freshman are not permitted to move off-campus for this spring. More ...
