Guidelines to recycling at BU
Bloomsburg University recycles:
Mixed Office Paper - Includes color and white. No glossy and window envelops. No staples preferred, but they will be accepted.
Glass and Plastic - Mixed together is acceptable. All containers must be emptied of liquids, no caps. Only #1 and #2 plastics bottles are acceptable. Procedures for glass and plastic at MOA and MPA require sorting colored glass and plastic separately in their respective containers.
Aluminum Cans - All cans must be emptied of liquids.
Newspaper - Includes circulars and inserts with them.
It is very important that no trash or liquids be discarded with recycling materials. No food service items such as coffee cups, wrappers, juice boxes, pizza boxes, etc. should be disposed of in the recycling bins. Also do not recycle the wrappers from the copy paper packages. All beverage containers must be emptied of liquids.
Unfortunately recycling materials that are contaminated by waste or liquids may not be eligible for recycling and may need to be discarded as regular trash.
