This 4 hour course provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to help sustain life for victims in emergency situations such as choking, heart attacks, CPR and the use of defibrillators until advanced medical help arrives. The content will help rescuers recognize emergencies and give appropriate care, regardless of the type of emergency. Skills are practiced with manikins and AED (defibrillator) trainers. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive an authorized certificate from the American Red Cross which is valid for 1 year. Sponsored by Human Resources.
