Revised Smoking policy passed
A revised smoking policy was approved by the University Forum at its meeting Feb. 27.
The main change to PRP 5253 id prohibit smoking in the academic quad area.
There was also a presentation on a number of BU policies which have been modified to be consistent with other universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. They are: PRP 3434 - Change of Undergraduate Schedule; PRP 3452 - Course Repeat Policy; PRP 3462 - Undergraduate Course Withdrawal; PRP 3463 - Graduate Admissions, Withdrawal, Course Repeat, Transfers, and Graduation Requirements; PRP 3540 - Academic Good Standing Policy; PRP 3604 - Undergraduate Graduation Requirements.
General Education Task Force
It was also announced that the General Education Task Force has been formed. Jonathan Lincoln and John Riley will serve as Co-Chairs. Members will include: Steve Wiist, (Library); Carl Chimi and Blair Staley (College of Business); Pete Bohling and Michael Collins (College of Liberal Arts); Michelle Ficca and Robert Gates (College of Professional Studies); Patricia Beyer and Bruce Wilcox (College of Science and Technology).
