Overnight trips to NYC, Toronto planned

The Program Board is sponsoring trips to New York City and Toronto this semester.

A day and or night trip to New York City is being offered on Saturday, Sept. 20. For the day trip, a bus will depart from the hospital lot at 7 a.m. and depart from NYC at 8 p.m.

For the overnight trip, the bus will depart from the hospital lot at 7 a.m. and depart from NYC on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. Tickets to see Wicked and/or Hairspray are available. Bus and ticket to Wicked $90 with community activities card/$100 without; Bus and ticket to Hairspray $80/$90. Bus Only: $25/$30 for the day trip; $79 for overnight trip. Sign ups begin Wednesday, Aug. 27, for the overnight bus, and Thursday, Aug. 28, for the day bus at the Kehr Union Info. Center.

A Toronto trip will be offered from October 10-12. Buses will depart Bloomsburg on Oct. 10 at 5 a.m. and depart Toronto on Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. Open to BU students, faculty and staff with a community activities card and their guests. Not open to general public. Cost $119 per person/$135 for guests.

Price includes round trip video coach bus transportation; two nights lodging at Global Village Hostel, and a two to three-hour stop at Niagara Falls. Lodging facilities are youth hostels with four- and six-person rooms with shared bathrooms. Participants should select their roommates when signing up; otherwise, roommates will be assigned. Rooms are designated as male, female, or co-ed. Participants must have proper identification and proof of citizenship for the border crossing between the U.S. and Canada. U.S. Citizens must have a passport or passport card, or original birth certificate with a raised seal and a photo I.D. Non-U.S. citizens should see Dr. Sharma in the International Education Office prior to signing up for the trip.
