Activities planned for BU's Parents' and Family Weekend

Families of BU students will get a taste of campus life during the 38th annual Parents' and Family Weekend Friday to Sunday, Sept. 12 to 14. The weekend's events will include athletic competitions, professional entertainment, classroom visits and recreational opportunities.

BU President David Soltz will welcome family members during an open forum Saturday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. in Kehr Union's Fireside Lounge. Other weekend highlights include:

The weekend's events will begin informally Friday, Sept. 12, when family members may sit in on their students' classes, with permission from instructors. On Saturday, Sept. 13, BU's upper campus climbing wall will be open free of charge from 3 to 6 p.m. and a buffet dinner will be served in Scranton Commons from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Activities on Sunday, Sept. 14, will include a Protestant worship service and Catholic mass, both at 11 a.m. in Kehr Union.
