M. Theresa Bloskey, director

M. Theresa Bloskey Theresa, a native of Danville, and returned to the area in 1986 after studying at Shippensburg University, working in the York, Harrisburg, Johnstown areas and graduate school at Temple University. She has been a social work practitioner since 1978 and has been working with TRiO SSS since it was funded in 1998. In addition to her responsibilities in TRiO SSS, Theresa works with graduate and undergraduate social work students, BU graduate assistant, and is the coadvisor for BU's WISE student organization (Women Inspiring Strength and Empowerment). She serves as the chair of the BU chapter of PASSHE Women's Consortium and she is a member of the PASSHE Executive Board of the Women's Consortium.

Toni M. Barrile, assistant director

Toni M. Barrile Toni has two undergraduate degrees from BU in Geography/Urban and Regional Planning and Secondary Education Social Studies, and a master's degree from BU in Education. Toni began working in TRiO SSS in January 2006. Previously, she worked for BU's TRiO Upward Bound for several years. In addition, she is on the executive board of the BU chapter of PASSHE Women's Consortium, is the co-advisor for BU's Wise student organization (Women Inspiring Strength and Empowerment), and is serving on The Women's Center Board, Inc of Columbia/Montour Counties. Barrile is also a mindfulness and meditation practitioner and facilitator.

Denise Chaytor-Zugarek, retention specialist

Denise earned a BA from East Stroudsburg University with a double major in English and Communication Studies and an MA from the University of Arizona in Media Arts. She joined the TRiO SSS team in August of 2012. Previously, Denise taught Speech Communication at East Stroudsburg University and Northampton Community College's Monroe campus. She has worked for East Stroudsburg University's TRiO Upward Bound program since 2004 and currently teaches English Compostion for the program. In addition, Denise is on the executive board of the BU chapter of PASSHE Women's Consortium.
