Vasta, of Langhorne, is a magna cum laude graduate of Bloomsburg University and holds bachelor's degrees in secondary education and history, as well as a master's degree in instructional technology. While at BU, she was a member of two honor societies, Phi Alpha Theta and Kappa Delta Pi, and served as president of the History Club.
Vasta has been employed by CIGNA HealthCare since 1999, currently serving as product development director for the Fortune 500 Company. Prior to this role, her career at CIGNA included working as an eHealth product and marketing manager, manager of human resource services, and learning manager.
Vasta has made numerous contributions to BU, including services as a member of the College of Business Advisory Board and Corporate Advisory Council. She also served as a guest lecturer for the Healthcare Management graduate program at Marymount University and presented at CIGNA's 2005 Consumerism Investor Day Conference. Vasta was appointed to Council of Trustees in June 2009. She is currently chair of the Bloomsburg University Foundation's Henry Carver Fund.
