Undergraduate Travel Grant (URSCA)

Undergraduate Travel Grant (URSCA)

Undergraduate Travel Grants are provided to enhance undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activities by helping students attend professional meetings appropriate for their major and intended career. This competition is open to all Undergraduate Students, in good standing (acceptable GPA in the major, no administrative or financial holds), who are presenting at a conference and would like reimbursement for travel expenses.

1. The student must be the presenter. In cases of two or more student presenters of a single presentation, only one presenting student will be eligible for travel support.

2. The maximum request for travel funding is $500 per student and multiple funding requests from the same person are not allowed.

3. Only applications in which a presentation or performance has been accepted and a travel grant application has been completed BEFORE the end of the semester of graduation are eligible for funding.

4. Eligible expenses are limited to registration, housing, transportation, and parking/tolls.

5. The research must have been completed before the student graduates to qualify for the Undergraduate Student Travel Grant.

6. Second-party expenses are not allowed and all expenses must be supported by receipts. Membership dues are not eligible expenses. Meeting venues must be at the national or international level, so students encounter professionals and graduate students in their discipline, and undergraduate research meetings are not supported.
