The Bloomsburg Regional Technology Center (BRTC)

A Technology Center Targeted for Innovation

The Bloomsburg Regional Technology Center is owned by the Columbia Alliance for Economic Growth a leading economic development organization in Columbia County for over 40 years. The Alliance serves as the economic development affiliate of the Bloomsburg Area Chamber of Commerce. The Center has close involvement and support from Bloomsburg University's Institute for Interactive Technologies and College of Business, as well as Ben Franklin Technology Partners, the Small Business Development Center, and the Town of Bloomsburg some of with have a physical presence in the building. These are a part of an advisory team that assists the Alliance in developing the incubating tenants and attracting new tenants to the facility. The advisory team, along with others, is also involved in public training programs that are offered at the Center.

Location of the BRTC

The Bloomsburg Regional Technology Center is located in the historical homes district in the town of Bloomsburg, Columbia County. The building itself is located at 240 Market Street, just one-half block from the Town's Main Street. Half a mile away is the beautiful town park and the campus of Bloomsburg University.

About the BRTC

The Bloomsburg Regional Technology Center provides incubator space for new businesses in the technology field and provides a location for expanding technology businesses. The building's location allows the technology center to capitalize on the emerging technology industry cluster in downtown Bloomsburg, broadband access availability in the area, and the close proximity to Bloomsburg University's Institute for Interactive Technologies and College of Business.

The Technology Center is located in the new Greater Susquehanna Keystone Innovation Zone (GSKIZ). The building offers unique opportunities for building business relationships and incentives to help businesses grow by creating opportunities for technology companies to save money on Pennsylvania taxes and to receive priority in seeking grants and loans. The GSKIZ also provides support for the commercialization of new technology concepts through its relationships.
