Women's Consortium

The Women’s Consortium is the only organization for PASSHE universities devoted to identifying and serving the needs of women. Consortium membership offers an opportunity to act on behalf of PASSHE women.

About the Women’s Consortium

It is a unique network of women established in 1980. The Women’s Consortium connects women faculty, students, staff and administrators from the fourteen campuses of the state system. We build and nurture these connections through our Fall conference, our Leadership Institutes and by supporting Women and Gender Studies, campus Women’s Centers and the Commission on the Status of Women on many campuses.

Members of the PASSHE Women’s Consortium meet regularly with the Chancellor and staff at the Dixon Center to identify, address, and monitor the concerns of women (students, faculty and staff).

The Women’s Consortium also has membership on the PASSHE Social Equity Council. The consortium sponsors the annual Undergraduate Women’s Leadership Institute held at McKeever Environmental Center each summer. The consortium also sponsors the Leadership Institute for Faculty Women which addresses women in leadership and gender equity in the academy. The consortium recently established a Leadership Institute for Staff.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to join the Women’s Consortium.
