  2. Submit Your Official English Language Test (TOEFL or IELTS)

This is required for all students whose native language is not English.

TOEFL Test: BU requires a minimum score of 500 (paper-based TOEFL), 90 (Duolingo), 173 (CBTOEFL), or 65 (Internet-based TOEFL). For information about the TOEFL, please visit the TOEFL website or write to TOEFL Educational Testing Service, 660 Rosedale Road, Princeton, NJ 08541, U.S.A. 2. IELTS Test: BU requires a 6 IELTS score. See the International English Language Testing System website for test centers.

  3. Submit Your Official Transcripts

Official Transcripts from a high school or other secondary school in English are required and must have the official seal of the institution. Transfer Students must submit official college or university transcripts in English and also have them evaluated by an outside evaluation service. You can find a list of accredited evaluation services on the NACES (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services) website.

Before you apply, please note that many evaluation service companies charge a fee in order to process your information. It is the student’s responsibility to pay for the service provided by the evaluation agency. Transfer applications will not be considered without these credentials. We recommend that you begin the process as soon as possible to ensure that your materials can be received, evaluated, and forwarded to BU in a timely manner. BU cannot forward any transcripts to an evaluation agency or third party, so please make sure you follow the appropriate protocol in order to expedite your application in the most cost-efficient way possible.

If you wish to transfer credits from another college or university in the United States, make sure to indicate that you are a Transfer Student on the application, and have your official college transcripts sent to Bloomsburg University Admissions Office as indicated above. You will receive an evaluation of your credits.
