Sunday, April 13 at 7 p.m. Kenneth S. Gross Auditorium, Carver Hall General admission concert seating will be limited. The tickets will be complementary but required.
We close out the season with a party! Celebrate Bloomsburg University’s 175th Anniversary with a free performance by the Pedrito Martinez ensemble, a gift from Celebrity Artist Series sponsors to the people of Bloomsburg University, the community and surrounding areas.
World-class conga player, singer and bandleader based in New York City, Cuban-born Martinez began his musical career at the age of 11 performing as a vocalist and percussionist. In 2000 he won first place, when the Thelonious Monk Institute showcased competition in Afro-Latin hand drumming for the first time ever.
His sound, featured on more than one hundred albums in collaborations with Sting, Paul Simon, Wynton Marsalis, and numerous other artists, will fill K.S. Gross Auditorium.
