Women's Rugby competes in Final Four

Women's Rugby Team

Bloomsburg Women’s Rugby recently competed in the Final Four for the national championship in Greenville, S.C., for the first time in club history (started in 1995). Although the Huskies fell short in the first game against Davenport, the team kept fighting to place third in the entire nation and first place for the east coast. The team beat Vassar with a score of 43-32 in the final game. Overall the team finished their season 12-1.

"This team overcame all odds this season. Nobody knew who we even were before when we entered Nationals. Everyone on the team gave their heart this past weekend and we left the field with no regrets. Everyone knows who Bloomsburg Women's Rugby is now. We finished our season on a high note being the first place team from the east coast. This team continues to grow and we will always be a strong family. I was a proud captain of this team and I know that they will continue to compete at such a high level."
