The Department of History at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is establishing a two-year, temporary faculty teaching pool. Applications are welcome from specialists in United States history, western civilization, or non-western history. MA in history is required and an ABD or Ph.D. is preferred. Prior collegiate level teaching experience and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations are preferred. The majority of full-time history faculty will make recommendations for hiring from this pool. Applications for the pool can be accepted throughout the period May 2015 - May 2017. Finalist(s) for all appointments from this pool must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and/or teaching demonstration. Complete pool applications shall consist of a letter of application, a C.V., official transcripts, a statement of teaching philosophy (separate from the letter of application), and three letters of recommendation.
