FNB Bank contributes to Bloomsburg University Scholarship

For Immediate Release

Date: March 7, 2005

FNB Bank recently completed a $10,000 contribution to the Bloomsburg University Foundation. The gift establishes an endowed scholarship to aid area students who are disabled and receiving accommodative services while at the university. The first scholarship will be awarded in 2006. BU's Office of Accommodative Services offers a wide range of activities to support and enhance the performance of students with disabilities, including providing accommodative testing, note takers, scribes, interpreters, readers, auxiliary aides and adaptive equipment. The office also serves as an advocate for the student in issues of accommodation beyond the classroom, and acts as a liaison with other campus offices. Shown from left are Karen Wood, FNB business relationship officer; Peter Walters, director of accommodative services at Bloomsburg University; Sherri Wohlford, FNB Bloomsburg branch manager; and Eileen Evert, Bloomsburg University Foundation representative. FNB has branches in Danville, Shamokin, Atlas, Williamsport, Bloomsburg and Berwick.
