BLOOMSBURG — Two nursing students at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania recently were honored for academic achievement and leadership abilities.
Kelly Lauman, of Norristown, a senior nursing student graduating in May, received the nursing student achievement award from Theta Zeta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the nursing honor society.
Graduate nursing student Pamela Krupilis of Mahanoy City was given the Lambda Nu Award. The award was established with funds donated by Lycoming College’s chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International when Lycoming’s nursing program closed.
Bloomsburg University is one of 14 universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The university serves approximately 8,000 students, offering comprehensive programs of study in the colleges of Professional Studies, Business, Liberal Arts and Science and Technology.
