For immediate release: Sept. 7, 2012

BLOOMSBURG — Bloomsburg University welcomes the Handsome Little Devils for a performance of their show, “Squirm Burpee,” on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall. The Devils’ show will kick off the 27th season of BU’s Celebrity Artist Series. Tickets cost $34.50 for adults, $19.50 for children and $17 for BU students.

Squirm Burpee Founded by Mike and Dan Huling in 2000, the Handsome Little Devils started preforming on streets in the Fort Collins, Colo., area. In addition to a shared interest in acting, the pair used their art skills to make clever costumes and props for their productions, creating an atmosphere that has been described as “Tim Burton meets Wile E. Coyote.”

In this show, Dashing Dave, Mike the Handsome and Lovely Little Lolo use quirky contraptions and crazy stunts to captivate audiences, including the Ladder of Love and the Human Cannonball. Amidst all of this, the villainous Baron Vegan von Hamburger is plotting to end the circus once and for all. The Baron and the trio of performers sort out their problems while showcasing a variety of classic Vaudeville entertainment, from swing dancing to slapstick.
