Career Connections Expo

Bloomsburg University’s Center for Professional Development and Career Experience (CPDCE) has a busy semester jam packed with expos, workshops and crash courses to help you develop your professional brand. The CPDCE workshops range in topics from resume building to finical literacy for freshmen through senior year students.

One of the biggest events held is the Career Connections Expo, which is open to all students of all majors. Students have the opportunity to meet more than 100 employers and alumni and gain connections with them to lead to experiences, such as full and part-time jobs, internships, job shadowing experiences, and graduate programs.

Crayola, J.B. Hunt, PA Department of Environmental Protection, and PepsiCo are a few companies on this year’s growing roster.

"I've been going to the career expo since my freshman year, and I can say it has helped me tremendously," says Erik Stalford, a junior. "I've already had an internship, and I've been able to get in contact with multiple prospective employers solely from going to the career expo."

It is never to early or late to start building your professional brand and thinking about life beyond graduation. Be Smart ... Be Prepared ... Be Professional ... and Be YOU!
