Cathy Zavacki '99 graduated from Bloomsburg University where she obtained a degree in Chemistry Education. Cathy comes from a Husky family with both of her parents and one brother also being graduates of Bloomsburg University.
Cathy has been a teacher of chemistry for the past 22 years where she has developed a passion for inclusion education and the idea that All Kids Can Learn. She and her coteacher speak throughout the country promoting inclusion education and were names NJ Coalition for Inclusive Education's Teachers of the Year. Cathy has also been named Teacher of the Year for the Princeton/Trenton section of the American Chemical Society as well as the Teacher of the Year for the American Chemical Society's Mid Atlantic Region.
Beyond the high school classroom, Cathy is also a graduated instructor for The Regional Training Center in collaboration with LaSalle University and The College of New Jersey where she specializes in teaching fellow teachers how to use Kinesthetic Movement in the classroom to optimize their students educational experience.
