Prior to being named Commonwealth University's first Chief Information Officer, Dr. Keller previously served as the Interim Associate Vice President for Information Technology and was an Associate Professor in the department of Technology, Analytics, and Workforce Learning. Dr. Keller taught undergraduate courses in Analytics, Project Management, Global Enterprise Security, Training and Development, Inter-Organizational Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP), and Leadership in Information Technology.  His graduate courses included Data Management in Business, Innovation in Information Technology, and Strategic Information Technology Management.

Dr. Keller has more than three decades of experience in education and information technology leadership. Prior to becoming an associate professor at Bloomsburg University, he was a Senior Delivery Director responsible for large-complex IT engagements throughout the world. His customer portfolio included student information systems (SIS), Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP), Business Intelligence and Analytics Systems, as well as Organizational Change Management and Training solutions.  During his consulting career, some of his clients included: the Los Angeles Community College District, San Diego Community College District, the University of Texas, the University of Miami, the Qatar Ministry of Education, the University of Rwanda, the Los Angeles Unified School District and New York City Public Schools. He has spear-headed a partnership between Bloomsburg University and the University of Rwanda.  His research interests have focused on business ethics and the use of Big Data to affect strategic decision making in international business.  He also focused on the impact of international companies who are missing the Cloud revolution and the impacts to economies, employees, and the market vertical.
