James Dunlap works in design, animation, web, illustration, and letterpress printing. He is currently focused on creating a series of scientific illustrations of aquatic entomology for fly fishers. James has previously worked in graphic design and concept development for a German visual merchandising agency that focused on creating dynamic, in-store product and brand presentations for european retail stores. In addition to his industry experience, James has taught at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, Bucknell University, Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, as well as conducted workshops in Germany, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Holland, and Senegal.

His animation work has been broadcast in national and international television commercials, as well as in films screened at Cannes International Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Bologna Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival, Rio de Janiero Film Festival, Pixtoplasma-Berlin, New York Festival, Ann Arbor Film Festival, Waterfront Film Festival, Klik Amsterdam, and Anifest-Czech Republic. James’ most recent animation work was on the animation branding for the Telluride Film Festival 2022. His illustration work has been published in The Drake Magazine, FlyFisherman's Magazine, On the Fly Magazine, and Flyfisher International Magazine.
