Jennifer has been with TRIO Upward Bound at Bloomsburg University since September 2017. She has previous TRIO experience working with TRIO Student Support Services and TRIO Educational Talent Search programs at Southwestern Michigan College. Prior to her work with TRIO she served as the Director for Residence Life and Judicial Affairs at Northwestern Michigan College and worked as a Clinical Therapist in Michigan and Rhode Island specializing in behavioral intervention and trauma.
Jennifer served one term as the Michigan Association of TRIO Programs (MI TRIO) secretary and one term and a half as the Pennsylvania Association of TRIO Programs (PA TRIO) secretary. In October 2022 Jennifer began her term as President of PA TRIO. In 2013 Jennifer completed the Emerging Leaders' Institute with the Educational Opportunity Association of America (EOA), the regional association that represents TRIO programs in the mid-western states, then in 2017 she completed the Emerging Leaders Institute of the Mid-Eastern Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (MEAEOPP), the regional TRIO association for the mid-eastern states. The Emerging Leaders Institute is a leadership development program designed to cultivate strong leadership skills and prepare participants for greater involvement in both their state and regional associations.
Jennifer is passionate about making a difference in students' lives through communication, support, and building relationships. She loves watching students grow and succeed. A native of Canada, Jennifer is an avid hockey fan and loves spending her weekends cheering on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. She lives in Sugarloaf and enjoys spending time with her family, including her four dogs and two cats.
