Lijuan Sun began her academic career at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2017.  Before joining BU, she worked as a Graduate Assistant and Adjunct Instructor at University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. She also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Tarleton State University in Texas. She received her Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. She received her Master’s degree in Economics with a concentration in Finance from Shandong University in China. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Shandong University of Economics and Finance in China.  Before working on her Ph.D. program, she was an associate professor in Finance at QILU University of Technology in China.  Dr. Sun’s research focuses on emerging markets, personal finance, corporate finance and banking institution. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in corporate finance, financial markets and institutions, personal finance, investment, and international finance. She has published in the Research in International Business and Finance; International Journal of Business; International Journal of Consumer Studies; Psychology in the Schools; The Journal of Business Inquiry; International Journal of Business & Applied Sciences; and International Journal of Electronic Finance. Dr. Sun has served as an academic advisor for finance students since joining BU, and FMA in the Zeigler College of Business
