Dr. Elizabeth Petre first taught for the Department of Communication Studies in 2010. Dr. Petre is from East Lansing, Michigan and completed her undergraduate studies at University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign. She then completed her doctorate at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale, where she studied rhetorical approaches to Organization Communication in various contexts. Her dissertation focused on the USDA food pyramid. Dr. Petre teaches Leadership and Team Building, Public Speaking, Small Group, and Examining Communication.
